5 Reasons I'm Grateful for Baseball

It's Thanksgiving week, and I'm sitting here thinking about our 17 years in professional baseball. I don't take any of this for granted, but today I am especially grateful for these 5 things:

Dreams. We get to chase them together. In the beginning, it was just him and me. Now our entire family gets to take part in this adventure.

Friends. There is nothing like having friends who understand the craziness of this lifestyle. This kind of bond connects you for the rest of your life, no matter how long you're in the game.

Travel. Without baseball, we wouldn't have camped in Glacier National Park, enjoyed a cheeseburger under the streets of Chicago, or dug our toes into the sand of Pismo Beach. This is a beautiful country, and we get to see more of it because of this game.

Faith. Because of pro sports ministries like PAO, UPI, and Baseball Chapel pouring into us, we have matured, and our faith has been strengthened. These days I'm honored to give back by working with these ministries to bring more of these resources to you.

Community. The explosion of WAGS in Real Life this past year has energized me like nothing else. I love connecting and equipping you, bragging about you, and elevating your voice. Thank you for trusting me and jumping into this crazy ride. I can't wait to see where we go next.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I'm grateful for you!
