Creating a Vision for the 2020 Season

Let’s Create a Vision for the 2020 Baseball Season Together

I have three simple life hacks that will profoundly refresh your emotional health

Reevaluate your tribe

Create a Vision Board

Research shows optimistic imagery creates positive results

  • Channel the old school, handmade collage

  • Long and short term goals should be indicated in photos and clippings

  • Place the vision board in a space you often pass by

Choose a word to focus energy on

It’s a condensed mantra

  • Pick one word you want to emulate

  • Last year I chose AWAKE. This year EMBRACE is my word

  • Meditate on your word. Write it down many times and several places. Become that word.

Reevaluate your tribe

Relationships should be intentional and reciprocal

  • Evaluate the (optional) people you spend the most time with

  • Lean more into the people who breathe life into yours

  • Create healthy distance from the ones who drain you

Commit to these life hacks, and in a few weeks you will begin to feel emotional lightness. I am excited for you! Stress will start to lift and you will feel more focused on the important things. You will feel organized and clear. You will be accountable. You will be renewed.

Happiness is a journey, not a destination. We have to be active participants in it. We will each slip and slide into difficult times, rebounding swifter when we know our path to a healthier mindset. This quote by Elizabeth Gilbert explains it well.

Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it.
