Kelly Jones, MS, RD, CSSD, RDN

 

Hi, I'm Kelly Jones, a board certified sports dietitian, mom and former division I athlete. As someone who stays active myself while balancing my career and family-life, I'm also passionate about empowering other active moms to optimally fuel their busy lives. With a plant-forward philosophy, I helps others integrate nutrition, fitness, and environmentally conscious habits into their lifestyle in a realistic way. 

While nine years as a college professor reinforced the importance of evidence-based nutrition practice, my work with disordered eating in the athletic population stimulated a desire to merge my love of science with the philosophies of intuitive eating. A personal interest in and experience working with patients on nutrition for mental health encouraged the holistic approach that I take, on improving both physical and mental health with food. My messages as a media spokesperson, during speaking engagements, and in one-on-one coaching sessions are all about empowering others to trust their body while applying the science of nutrition to individualized needs.

I works with everyone from collegiate and professional athletes to active kids and parents. While I specialize in performance nutrition for endurance sports and general fitness, I have experience working with nearly all types of athletes. I spent several years consulting with Philadelphia Phillies organization as well as USA Swimming and was the founder of the nutrition and medical fitness program at the Newtown Athletic Club, a top three independent health club in the nation.
