DESERT ARK VETERINARY HOSPITAL
Avondale, AZ (close to Dodgers/Whitesox Spring Training complex)

Right before we left Ohio for Spring Training, our dog was diagnosed with coccidia from eating wildlife poo (so gross!) and our cat was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. They both finished treatment right after we got to Arizona, so both needed follow-up tests to make sure their issues had cleared. I emailed four different vet clinics and NONE of them responded. Luckily, my maps app showed that Deserk Ark was close to us so I drove over there. Their entire staff could not have been any nicer! Their facility is nice and clean and smells good The woman at the desk was friendly and took her time talking to me. She told me to go home and email my pets' medical records, and they responded to the email right away. When we went back for our appointment, we were there for an hour because they took their time to ask us questions and get to know us, even though my pets technically didn't even need to see the vet (they just needed labs done that were getting sent to our vet at home). The vet, the vet techs, the receptionists - they were the nicest bunch of people! And they called the next day to see how our pets were doing, even though the dog just got a B-12 injection and the cat just had urine taken for a urinalysis. They were even thoughtful enough to put out special treats for dogs who have food allergies and GI issues. They did insist on seeing both pets for an office visit since we were new clients but they only charged me one office visit instead of two. I am the most overprotective pet parent ever, but I feel like my pets are in very good hands at Desert Ark and I'm very happy with them!—Jill Borkowski

They have been great with getting us in for last-minute appointments, and is always honest and open when it comes to treatment plans and options, and always discloses the possible pricing before making any final treatments. If you’re in the West Valley of Phoenix, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Boyd. —Celina Felton
